Rainbow lorikeets

Early morning, and these rainbow lorikeets were making quite the rowdy noise that they do, right in my garden this time. They usually only come into the garden when the bottlebrush is flowering in the spring, otherwise they will be out in the big trees, in the bush-corridor at the back.

leaves on the crepe myrtle were scorched from the 46.6 degree celcius day recently

'some-one' must've had a heavy night

Peepo .. I see you too

seen during the morning walk

short video, so you can hear them too.

I was next to you on WWW today, and I considered it an honor.

Oh my these birds are so pretty. If I have this kind of birds here in Michigan I would be leaping for joy in the morning and be out in my backyard early in the morning all the time. ^_^ Awesome!

Nice pictures of a colorful parrot - can be bought in this country as "caged bird" ..... think it's "just" a shame to keep such a great / beautiful bird in a cage :) Hanne Bente

These are great pictures - I can remember the first time I saw these birds. I could not believe my eyes!

As far as I can tell oystercatchers dont eat oysters! But the do it small bivalves - like pippis - a lot of the time.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW
