Down at Darling Harbour, Sydney, and taking part in the Sydney festival, this grand rubber duck will be resting up in this spot, through till January 23.
Compliments to Florentijn Hofman, from The Netherlands, for his fun creation, measuring five storeys high, and wide. According to Sydney Festival 2013, the duck has already made its way to various cities around the world, since 2007.
i love the 4th shot ... the rubber duckie & seagull ... so cute!! i would love to see this guy in person. i guess it's a male, a female would have a pink bow right? ha. ha!!
thank you for sharing with us. neat! that will probably never happen again, right??! ( :
That is one big duck! We have a yellow duck race a Riverfest in June....last year, the creek where the race was held was so low that bunches of ducks got caught up in little swirls or near rocks. I can't remember how many there were, but it was over 100...and it took a long time in the heat to get them to the finish line! One of our local clubs also has a Duck train....the little cars look like yellow ducks and the children get to ride in the train, pulled by a 4-wheeler.

Beautiful pictures Carole, very nice large duck.

Looks like he belongs there. I like the second shot where it looks like the guy on the bicycle is carrying a rubber ducky on his shoulder.

How funny! I love whimsical and this sure does qualify! Great pix!
Wow! He's almost big enough to be a cruise ship .... certainly makes a splash of colour in the harbour.
What delightful pictures Carole...love the duck and seagull!

Wow, he's not your ordinary little rubber ducky! Cute
A great series of shots that would be a surprise to see floating on the harbour.
That is quite the duck!!! I can see that it would draw a lot of people to the harbour!
Holy cow! That is one big rubber ducky! Of course, that is one big bath tub, too. :-)
Definitely made me laugh! Never saw a rubber duck this size before! Pretty colorful harbor decoration!
You cann't miss this on! He brightens the area with his color. Florentijn Hofman also made other great projects.
