Aged Melaleucas (paper-barks) scatter the reserve, while Silver Gulls wait about for those who might wander across from the local shop with their white-paper wrapped, fish 'n chips . You know the rest...

HI Carole Great shots of all the birds and that shot of the bridge is great and would be wonderful for Tex's Good Fences on Thursday. Have a great weekend.
Hi Carole! You are so lucky to live where you do, it looks like the kind of place that instantly dissolves stress! Love the detail on the close up of the Teal - they have always been very flighty birds for me.
Hi Carole. Another nice set of photos today - I like that pedestrian bridge, and you took some terrific bird photos too - You caught that Grey Teal's red eye just right!
Really nice bridge! Your photos of the teal are gorgeous! Love that eye!
that is a beautiful teal! always love your pelicans, too.
Love this place, what a great place to visit and shoot photos Carole.
Lovely post Carole, great photos! It is fun to see your pelicans and their different coloring. Have a great weekend :)
Looks like a place I could spend a lot time in. Love the pelicans!
Dearest Carole;
Wow, lovely pelicans♡♡♡ Seems look different from ours in my city park.
Love and hugsfrom Japan, xoxo Miyako*
What a simply perfect picnic spot. I love how the seagulls sense a free feed!
Beautiful shots Carole. The pelicans are a favourite of mine and they always choose the best places for a little laze around.
I adore the slightly cheeky look on the Grey Teal's face in both shots. Also, in the last photo, the seagrass showing through the water is a lovely addition.
So enjoyable, thank you for sharing them :D)
i love the bridge. gorgeous architecture. really great shots of the pelicans - they really are amazing birdies. ( :
i would love to "put in" in those waters ... looks like a great place to kayak.
A lovely place to take a picnic...looks to be a relaxing park with great views! Hope you had a chance to sit and enjoy after taking your wonderful pics!

The red eye on the teal is great - I never really get tired of ducks!

PS: thanks for the vote!
Carole, the bridge scene is lovely. Looks like a pretty place for a walk and to see the birds. I love pelicans..Enjoy your day and the week ahead!
Thanks so much for stopping by Carole!!! I also have to say that I love your bridge too. I think our two bridges look very similar. How interesting that the bird I shared also has a third name... A darter.... I believe that it is at least partly your fault that I am developing this interest in birds. I have now got about 5 different bird books. I am even thinking of starting to write down what I have seen. Love your pelicans too... they have such pink.... whatever you call those.... ??noses??. Have a wonderful day.
Beauty of Australian birds, I'd love to see them. Or a book of Aussie birds, that is my goal.
Yes, those gulls. the same the world over where food is about. Part of their success I guess, clearing up after us messy humans?
I love the red eyed Grey Teal - very subtle but certainly looks like the teal family.
What a beautiful place and wonderful photos !
I see lots of seagulls and beautiful bridges, but the pelicans are really beautiful to see. In the Netherlands, you see only in a zoo. Beautiful birds Carole :-)
Lovely photos - and a beautiful blogspot!
