Well as happened, something did fly past. I stood up and walked a few quiet steps to look around some shrubs, and up there, on the arbour - a (Laughing) Kookaburra.
and dropped silently to the ground for this worm
...which you throw back like this
and back again, seemingly curious for a moment, about the camera lens. I started to wonder if it could see its own reflection in the glass! Not that I was that close, but knowing how good their eyesight is ...

I might have mentioned that I was involved with sister-city relationship with one of the cities in your country. I was given the staffed doll of this bird and I decorate it in my teaching room p;) It must be a popular bird in Australia.
