Camera Critters - Grey-headed Flying-Fox
Archival photos, location Blackbutt Nature Reserve, N.S.W. From a distance, when walking the reserve, it was thought we were walking up the hill into the rainforest pocket, towards a flock of very noisy parrots perhaps. A complete surprise to find this colony of fruit-bats camped there instead.

Oh WOW, they are some awesome looking creatures. There are people i know on a reptilian forum who have kept these as pets. Crazy people out there !

We have a bat house on our property, but don't think it has ever been used by a bat...too many trees around for them I guess.
