Woodswallows were soaking up the early morning sunshine, appearing to be differing species amongst them too. Certainly can pick out the male White-browed. Not sure if there are Dusky Woodswallows also, or if some are the female White-browed instead of.
there's the tree they're in, out there in the middle

I love that white-browed Woodswallow. Such a pretty little bird!
Great shots! I saw some Woodswallows in Central a while back - never did get a good enough view to work out which sort!
We see the parrots on golf courses and sorts ovals!

Fantastic birds, Carole!
Love all your images!
Beautiful colors. Thank you!
Hi Carole. Yes Perfect blue skies and warm. The shot look lovely against that background. Love the Red rumpled Parrot. I have only ever seen them on one occasion so nice to see your lovely shots again.
These birds really were so high up in the tree Caroel but what good that you saw them as well. Do you have such a large telephoto lens that you could photograph? These birds as well as beautiful
Photo 6 and 8 are really beautiful.
thanks to everyone for your comments, you know that I read each one and associate with the author with sweet camaraderie. To Helma: I've not got a heavy telephoto lens (but I'd sure like to try one!!). You can read about the super-zoom camera that I'm toting about with me - details right underneath my photo in side-bar. And yes, those woodswallows were quite the distance, the camera at full extension 215mm=1200mm. It's takes some determined effort to line up at that distance, and moreso when the birds are 'high' as opposed to straight ahead or on the ground. Sometimes it works good enough, sometimes not because of camera-shake. It stands to reason. I just think I get lucky some times.
Carole, I love all your photos, but the first one on this post caught my attention! It reminds me of stamps that have birds on a branch! I see why the stamp was created. Birds really do sit on a branch like that! Thanks for the wonderful photos! hugs,
Laura
Lovely Carole. I really love the parrot - what a beauty! Have only seen them fleetingly from the car. Great shots.......
Beautiful pictures - reminds me of the heavenly few days I spent birding in Australia last year. Thanks for the shots.
