Pelicans have such unusual faces, almost like a Swan that had a nose job!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful birds.. I have seen pelicans in Florida but they were a dull grey colour.

The great thing about pelicans is that they are not frightened of humans and tend to hang about waiting to be hand-fed. Great for photographers ...

I have never looked at the join between the pelican's beak and its head before... Really doesn't look like it belongs. I scrolled to the bottom of the page, looking at all the other beaks, and they all seemed to have grown on the birds, not been pasted on. Weird...

Great pics of the pelican...I'm used to seeing brown ones in Miami, Florida USA...always heard their beaks can hold more than their belly can - LOL!

Oh, wow! These are so cool! Love the pelicans. The only time I've seen any is when I vacationed in Florida.

Another memory from the past - often visited Shingle Splitters point back, well, a long time ago! Plenty of pelicans back then too - all waiting for the fishermen to return and start cleaning the catch!!
