This stately building commenced in 1893. By 1959 it was in a state of disrepair, and eventually re-opened again in 1984.
This 10 metre clock, is known as the Great Australia Clock.
At this cordoned-off bar named the Christmas Cracker, a sip of champagne $AUD15, with a small selection of treats also $AUD15 was offered. A little bit of a Cinderalla setting...
From my seat for a light lunch, this photo shows in part the 24-metre Swarovski Christmas tree, which takes up three levels of the QVB. Adorned with 144,000 Swarovski crystals and 60,000 lights.
