Rose: Double Delight

Picked this afternoon, the first Double Delight rose for Spring. Need I tell you that it not only looks delightful, but it also has a super-delightful perfume too. It's sitting here looking beautiful, beside my computer.  So it is mine to share, Double Delight, three times over; I couldn't decide which image I liked the best, can you?

Gorgeous shots, Carole! I love Double Delight rose - such a beautiful perfume. I had one at my old house in my rose garden. It was one of my favourites along with Mr Lincoln (which also has an amazing perfume)!!

About my yellow flower...I must say that I don't remember how I did it. I made this photowork some years ago.

We used to grow that rose when we had our house and garden in Oregon (before we sold out to travel)....it was my absolute favorite. Beautiful and it smells like a rose is supposed to! mmmm-- thanks for the memories! (I swear I can almost smell it from your beautiful pictures!)

Double Delight is my very favorite rose. It has incredible form and fragrance, and no two blooms are alike. I wish I had room for more. I only have two but they are precious. Beautiful close-up shots.

I think you need at least two views to get the overall beauty of this rose (it reminds me of the peace rose). What a wonderful fragrance to have right next to you!
