Have been on the road 'out West' for several days, and before I get serious with sorting through my photographs, here's a start with a taste of the canola crops. The first that I set my eyes upon here, and I was anxious to pull over and get some snaps. It happened that the harvester/slasher was coming in also.
However, as I drove onwards, and again on my return home today, there was plenty more, beautifully vibrant canola crops to admire. All seemingly, in their prime.

just beautiful. i see lots of these fields from folks in canada, too.
Your filed of Canola looks like our bitter weeds in Texas.
I have not heard of canola I wonder if it the crop we know as rape. :)
Lovely scenic shots Carole.
Don't they just light up the landscape .... makes one want to jam on the brakes round every corner.
Yes LindyLouMac, also known as mustard, rape.
Wow, I love that punch of color! Great images, Carole:)
I've not seen canola in real life but will look out for it during an upcoming trip. Seems strangely bright amongst our earthy colours.
Gorgeous scenery Carole! I love the contrast against the paddock with the sheep.
I love drives out west, as you have probably noticed by many of my posts lately. I still have so many photos to sort through after 2 drives in 2 days a few weeks ago (600+ images to sort through).
Wonderful look of the country...TFS!

I love that last shot, with the tree in the middle of the field, and all that country beyond the field!! And sheep!!
