From the Magnolia family, Michelia Coco flowers Spring, Summer and Autumn. They explode with an intoxicating elixer of scents at certain times of day, and the tiny native bees (stingless), were loving it.
The big-time bees were in there too.
These close-up shots may make the flowers appear much larger than they are.

This full-size, evergreen shrub (in frost-free areas), grows 3m x 2m, (approx 10 ft x 6.5 ft). The open flower is only 6 cm. (not even 2.5 inches). This one in a part of the back garden, and several more are growing as an informal-hedge, in the front garden. An easy, no-high-maintenance shrub, and highly recommended. Plant them where you can enjoy their exotic perfume!

Wow that is so lovely, and the photos are great too. The petals look so thick as well.
You must have a super lens on your camera! Those are tremendous shots and makes me want to say "don't get stung". Yay, for sting less bees!
