Oriental Small-Clawed Otters

Location: Western Plains Open-Range Zoo, Dubbo, N.S.W.

Under the scuba-diver, a comparison of sizes, Giant Otter-South America, then Eurasian Otter, Eurasia, and lastly the Asian Small-Clawed Otter, South East Asia featured in this post.

On the run all the time these pair; photo quality hindered by the glass surrounds.  It was feeding time!

Waiting on another handout

The pictures came out very nice considering through the glass. Their claws are so small that it appears they have none at all.

Good pictures...especially since there was glass to deal with! I took my camera out today as we had a sunny day...alas, my batteries were dead when I tried to photograph the cherry trees in bloom! Weatherman says rain until the weekend...hopefully it will hold off in the am tomorrow so I can give it another try with charged batteries.

Two corny phrases popped into my head when I saw these wonderful photos.

They are "otterly" adorable and they
"otter be in pictures" - Oh wait they are!
