Honeysuckle, Newcastle foreshores walk - Part One

It was a girls day out last week and it started with a train journey  to wander around the foreshores, of Newcastle, the largest coal-exporting harbour in the world; but first stop was for our kick-start coffee outdoors.

lots of apartments line the foreshore

a little bit of this

and a little bit of that; the Pacific Sun

oh .. and this ferry too, we caught it over to Stockton and back again

on the way back I was able to get shots like this

of the Newcastle Anglican church founded in 1847

and those apartments again,

and a glance over to Nobbies Lighthouse as we came back into shore.

Sounds like a lovely day out! I love those harbor shots, I worked in the shipping industry on the Seattle waterfront for twenty years. I especially liked the lighthouse... I added you as a friends on G+ and joined your GFC here...

Thanks for the lovely tour Carole of the waterfront at Newcastle.

BTW I just had to view a google map to see where you had been ... so many place names that I recognise from over here.

The view from those apartments must be fantastic! I love the cargo or tanker ship. And the church is beautiful!
