Chain Valley Bay

Photos taken yesterday afternoon, walking the pedestrian and cycleway through public foreshore land, at the south eastern extent of Lake Macquarie.

The Karignan Creek 25m suspension bridge built of hardwood timbers

there were quite a number of wrens flitting about in some sections, though challenging to get a photo of one not hidden by foliages

Signage denotes "Karignan Creek has been subjected to subsidence from underground coal mining causing a rise in water level on the northern side of the creek.  This is evident in the presence of dead eucalypts amongst the Paperbark trees."

Lovely selection of pictures you have here. I really like you bridge shots with the reflections and the lines of the bridge. Makes me wonder what is on the other side.
Thank you for your vist and comment on my post - I appreciate it:))

Delightful scenes under glorious blue skies! especially love the details of suspension bridge and the lone seat in the shadows of the trees!

Beautiful photos as usual. I really like the bridge and the little wren.

Congratulations on capturing the wren - no matter it is partially hidden, you did well to capture it in "stationary" mode! Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog. Happy Easter.

Lovely reflections Carole!
What a great photo number seven is of the rugged tree branches. It's as if you caught the tree stretches its many arms to the sky.
I like the shadows on the weathered old bridge as well.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A pretty walk with a very Australian feel. Not a cloud in the sky!

What an interesting walk! It must be exciting to cross that bridge and look up to those towering trees against the blue sky. Sceneries well-captured!

I find suspension bridges a little scary. I don't like it when they shake. :)
