Willie Wagtail

Seen all over Australia, this medium sized fantail flycatcher was out early in the morning when I was visiting with friends, location inland/rural Eumungerie, Central-Western N.S.W.

All you need now is a drunk at a midnight fire, and you’ll have the makings of a Leonard Cohen song.

Mind you, how you got this guy to stay still long enough to shoot is a mystery to me.

The Willie-wagtails (used to be known as willie waggletails!) are having a good year so far - we've been around a bit already and have seen them EVERYWHERE!
