Hadn't expected for a moment that I'd pick up any birding photos today, furthest thing from my mind. A bonus then and makes for a new blog post from side of the world, to yours.
flew off then to pick up some morsel in the grass on the other side of the gate
and up into this Scribby-gum tree in the bush corridor

Gorgeous shot of this bird Carole! Interesting that we are both sharing rainy weather! hope you are having a lovely Sunday!
cutest birds! they have such character - your photos showed that well!
Nice! He sure has a substantial bill!
It's wonderful when a bird surprises you by turning up like that just when you least expect it. Even better when it poses like that for you. Super shots Carole.
These are some great shots with your old Sony Carole.{:))
I am glad you visited my blog as I appeared to have mislaid yours and several other blog links in my Blog reorganisation back along.

Wow Carole,
really beautiful pictures. I have seen this bird in a zoo in Belgium and she called it "the foreign Halcyon". Beautifully captured.
Cute little Kookaburra! And I love your header photo!
Oh thanks for sharing your world with us. I remember singing that song about Kookaburras, but ofcourse have never seen one. Beautiful captures on an unexpected Sunday!!
Here in Spain we are finalizing the spring, and now is 1:18 PM, but believe me where I live in the north, it seems that we all spring like winter. Look at my pictures. Not if we have summer lol. I really like the pictures you have done for Kookaburra. Very sharp and clear. A kiss, Carole
Our weather for the last few days has been perfect...blue skies, in the 60's and low 70's....beautiful! Great pictures Carole...new bird to me and I think it's pretty cool!
