...do you know this flower?

 with a subtle honey-scent?

Too hard?

Well let's just forget about it for a moment.

Since I've been spending some time of late with the back gardens, here's a few pics from a little section near to the back door..

 Nandina (Sacred Bamboo)

 at front,  Kalanchoe thyrsiflora 'Flapjacks'

not sure the name of these succulents?  Anyone?

Back to the mystery flower now? It was .....

Clover!  Did you know it?

Nice exercise in flower ID!

I thought those little ones in the birdbath looked like artichokes, but way too pretty!

The ones in the birdbath might be hen and chick?? Just a guess.

y…e…a…p, I think that might be them Diane! I have another differing succulent …and I’m not sure if that one though is the ‘hen and chick’. We’ll see what the general concensus is.

I did not recognize it! Our clover is predominantly yellow.

I had no idea. Beautiful flowers, though! Hen and chicks I am familiar with...my mother used to have them when I was growing up.

I love that macro shot of what I believe is clover.. and your hens and chicks seem to be happy in that lovely container.
Have a wonderful day, Carole.

Photos of flowers are amazing. Great colors. I'm most interested in still life with Kalanchoe thyrsiflora. Lovely place. Have a nice weekend. Peter.

Clever you. The honey scent should have given me the clue. What a great close-up shot of the clover.

The succulent is what we call Hen & Chickens I think.

Your garden is a small slice of paradise Carole - you are doing a great job of keeping it up.
Hugs

Beautiful photos of the succulents and vases. I don't know their name but have them in my garden. In Holland people grow them on their tile roofs. The put a handful of clay on the roof then the succulent on top. The plants survive the winters because of all the moisture I guess. xo Jenny

I would have said hen and chicks, too. Another name is house leeks, I think, but I don't know where I got that from...
If that is what they are, wait for the flowers! They are incredible!!
I have never seen clover that close up before!
