Soldiers Beach re-visited

it seems you just wait for the wave to  hit the rocks, and that's when you take the plunge down

and go ride the waves

some like to fish ..

someone else adds colour to the tabletops, with jumbo markers

others like to fly light planes, and hang out with their camera, or binoculars.  Thought he might be scouting for the whales...

...me?  I like to scout around for more photographic moments like these.  This one, a white-faced grey heron.

Looks a lot like our coastline, minus the human activity. Great shots!

These are very artistic Carole. Love the table top texture over the artist, and also love the sound of the waves in your movie.. What a lovely spot to visit!

Oh the fun to be had with jumbo markers! That would be a great project for kids in a backyard at home.. to re-do and old picnic table... Great video!!

Gorgeous, gorgeous scenery! Australia would be on my short list just from what I've seen in your photos. Love your landscape there! The bird looks very similar to our herons...what is it?

That was nice and I was really impressed with the art on the picnic table, thinking it was done by some young graffiti artist and was surprised to see otherwise. Great post.

..glad you all enjoyed this series from the other side of the world. Brian (heyBJK), the finale photo is a white-faced grey heron. I've since added that to the post now too.

The white faced heron is beautiful....but if you want my opinion, there is nothing better than time spent at the beach [I like the graffiti art on the picnic table too]

Just wanted you to know that I added a linky to my newest bird photos today. If you'd care to stop by and leave a link. And perhaps if you know of anyone who loves birding--let them know of the new birding meme I set up for a weekly run---The Bird D'Pot. Stop by if you can. And have a glorious week.

I'd Rather B Birdin'

Nice pictures Carole but I like the drawing on the table also. Thinking Zentangle again. LOL. Like how you photoshopped the two pictures. Somebody mentioned a video...did I miss something?

Geke, the video is image before the colourful tabletop. It has a white click/arrow button on it. Have a look and listen to the ocean that day; it was a little treacherous.

Anni, glad you're hosting a birding linky; will check it out for sure.
