Eastern Rosella

These photos taken at home. Heard the chattering of rosellas landing on the guttering; had my camera nearby, and slid open a window. Moments later this female rosella flew across to the wintering crepe-myrtle tree to feed on the dried seed-pods. Just a lesser colour intensity than the male that'd visited for a mid May blog post this year.

Nice photos of the Rosella. They are pretty birds. None close around my place but there are some just a little inland from here.

Lovely to see these brightly coloured feathered friends against the stark of winter's skeleton trees.

What a beautiful bird! Here in the States we have to go to the pet store to see a bird like that.

Hi there - its a tomato sauce rosella! Nice pictures. I find these birds a little bit thin on the ground down here. I see them every so often, but I have only managed to get pictures once.

Well done.

This is such a lovely bird. I love the colors. It's indeed less intense than the male rosella in your other blog post but still so colorfull. Wish I could see one around my house.
