Love these beautiful birds. And what a cute name for them. The Male is gorgeous! Great shots!

Great photos. The two birds sitting with their tails up through the fence made me laugh - but a typical pose for wrens.

the one with the two butts is PRICELESS! :)

Just say "wren" anywhere in the world and it seems to translate to "cute"!
Nice shots, yes, especially the tails through the fence!

They are so cute..... I especially like the one of the two backsides looking out of the fence!

I did grin at the two bottoms sticking through the fence!

Great birds - but I find them hard to photograph - they are very mobile.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

I guess those are males and females? What a striking difference in plumage. Thanks for the pics Carole.

Carole M. said...

Yes Phil, the females are called Jenny wrens, but the fawn birds could also happen to be a juvenile male, so it's hard to differentiate

Hi Alex, thanks for your comment, and I was using a tele-converter lens on my compact camera. Camera details are noted in my 'complete profile' near to top, on the right side of my blog
