the backyard watering hole

Noisy Miner birds confer whether to take the plunge

when in came a juvenile Eastern Rosella

drinking at the end of a long, scorching day

seems that in the heat all agree to get along and share nicely

the morning after, a Grey Butcherbird visits

and seems to be sulking; what happened to the pool?

Miło patrzeć jak ptaki w zgodzie gaszą swoje pragnienie. Urocze zdjęcie z kąpieli ptaka. Pozdrawiam.
It's nice to see how the birds in harmony quench their thirst. Lovely photo of a bird bath. Yours.

Your top picture is what showed up in my blog list this morning. Looks fine here. Does everyone scatter when the Butcherbird arrives?

It's lovely to see birds squabbling around water bowls. I would love to know what they're saying ... Isn't that Butcher bird cute all fluffed up after his morning bath?

Ab fab photos. Must say I'd be sulking too if there were Noisy Miners around. They are the most bossy and unpleasant rowdies to have nearby. Maybe the butcher bird is just luxuriating in having the birdbath to himself.
Hope you're fine - if your photography is any indication, you're doing nicely :-)
Ros.

You have lots of activity! I keep forgetting it's your summer. Love the Miners...very cool looking birds!

Irma, the scorching temps have subsided and the days have been welcome 20 degrees C plus a little generally.

John, the butcherbird came in on its own; I rarely get to see it when it comes to the birdbath. Can only capture photographs of the birds bathing. from a window. I'd heard the butcherbird song and thought get upstairs and look see how close it is.

Thanks everyone for your comments on this one.
