Pelican







with Intermediate Egret





I'm glad it's making such a good catch because this pelican has obviously been in the wars somehow, at one time



it was all happening down along here, at Lake Macquarie

Great sequence!! Many fishermen (read 'Pilchard') would be ecstatic to land a fish that size!!!

Oh, a wondrous bird is the pelican!
His bill holds more than his belican.
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week.
But I’m darned if I know how the helican.

Great photos, Carole. Thought this little ditty might amuse you. My Dad liked it and told the stories of pelicans he knew in South Aust as a boy.
