A mixed bag is good Carole ...snippets from your world through your camera lens. Hopefully we will never loose the joy of capturing the every-day moments.
wow! such great zoom you have! really keeps clarity!
Crow or Raven? Well one has a wedge shaped tail and one has a rounded tail. But I can never remember who has what. So I go if its big it is a Raven, small a crow. But then you need them together to tell the difference. So we're right back to where we began.
The ibis look better in flight than on the ground.
Beautiful series of pictures, Carole.Beautiful bird species, well photographed.Regards, Irma
Bonitas y variadas capturas.Un abrazo
Just wonderful to see the different birds. Amazing !
Definately a mixed bag, always a crow to me.The magpie is a good looking fellow.Merle.......
Cool collection of birds. I love the swamphen and the Ibis in flight. Awesome photos, Carole!
Hi Carole Well you made me get out my Australian bird book to see if I could come up with the answer to Crow/Raven problem. Very little difference but the tail in the Crow should be slightly braoder than the Raven and certainly in this photo there are no hackles showing, so I would plump for a Crow. (But I would like to know for diffentate) They are about the same size according to the book. Anyway, the rest of the shots are great. Margaret
Now that's a LOT of birding Carole - good for you!!!Hugs,Jan
"I can never be sure which, crow/raven?" That is my dilemma too :-)You have nice photos.
