Foggy Mudgee mornings, and some birds

Taken at the Tourist Park before the group leaving for a days outing, bird-watching.

foggy mornings like this turned into beautiful sunny days

upper end of Burrendong Dam where we stopped for morning-tea

Hooded Robin and Dusky Woodswallow

Red-capped Robin

Black-shouldered Kite

oh gosh, my only chance to capture a Golden Whistler male and he decided to move his head.  I debated whether I should even include this snapshot but it is my only record of their wonderful plumage.  Have I said it before, how much I love yellow-birds?

I believe it's the Golden Whistler female

We did get to see many more birds, but managing to pick up a recognizeable photograph on the move, doesn't always happen.  Consider these my 'record-shots' then.

That first photo is fantastic, Carole! Love the light and fog! And your dam photos are nice, too...I mean that in a good way. :-) Really nice variety of birds. The Golden Whistler looks beautiful. They always seem to move at the last second. LOL
