...a pottery in the scrub

Continuing on after the walk to the Sandstone Caves....

in the Pilliga country stands this long-standing family pottery established on 8,000 bushland acres; you can read more of the Pilliga Pottery here.

Hadn't expected to find they had a wood-fired oven in their restaurant, and fabulous pizzas like this!  Can tell you it was the best.

a quirky pottery tree

So you thought I was quiet over the past five days?  Have been "on the road again", (I feel a song coming on), snapping photos and looking forward to getting back into the blogging groove and sharing with you real soon.

Great pottery, with wonderful designs, and the set up in the shop with the tree branches for legs on tables is brilliant!!

  3. Pretty pottery but the tree is weird. Fire roasted pizza is the best!

  15. seems a good pizza is a universal favourite. Thanks for your comments this one. TexWG-the closest fires were at Lake Munmorah (20 klm), started up the day I left when it was very hot and very windy. I kept updated on the news; today is a very threatening fire day for those trying to snuff out the Blue Mountains fires, with more of the same conditions forecast today. Thanks for your concern there Theresa. Karen you asked if I'd bought any pottery? I didn't, though the single vase photo with blue/green design on, was the one item I'd thought I'd like to take home.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
