Double-bar Finches basking in the late afternoon sun near to a little waterhole
Believed to belong to the Spotted Bowerbird. A couple days later it had been ransacked, apparently by a Bowerbird opponent; it's what they do.
that sign means something to someone obviously; and there's a little something on the sign too
that looks to be, a Hooded Robin.

such beauties! the double-barred finches brought back a memory from a lifetime ago. back in wisconsin, i had a huge finch cage. had a pair of 'owl finches' that were these birds. loved them. sad to think your domestic birds are netted and shipped off to america to become cage birds.
