this Olive-backed Oriole was finishing off the final weaving of nest
I had the advantage of standing on an elevation, side of little valley, which made it easier to get a better line of sight with the camera lens
White-winged Triller (a long way out, and photo taken through fencing). I leave this photo in since these birds are likely to be few and far between for me.

I have never heard of an Olive-backed Oriole. He's very unique. Love that little black and white bird too.

ReplyDeleteOooh a White-winged Triller! Nice find! They are few and far between in Brisbane too (seeing them is a sign that things are VERY dry out west). I really like those Oriole shots too - you've captured an important and intimate moment for the bird.

I've never heard of the olive backed oriole, Carol. So different from the Baltimore orioles that we have. They are orange and black.
