it seems you just wait for the wave to hit the rocks, and that's when you take the plunge down
and go ride the waves
some like to fish ..
someone else adds colour to the tabletops, with jumbo markers
others like to fly light planes, and hang out with their camera, or binoculars. Thought he might be scouting for the whales...
...me? I like to scout around for more photographic moments like these. This one, a white-faced grey heron.
Must be a very nice place for surfers.... great serie Carole.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing.
Greetings, Joop
Looks like a great beach for the surfers. Very pretty too. I love the heron, beautiful photos. I hope you are have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteLooks a lot like our coastline, minus the human activity. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThese are very artistic Carole. Love the table top texture over the artist, and also love the sound of the waves in your movie.. What a lovely spot to visit!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place..good to see so many loving it too. gorgeous Heron shot and I like how you did the frame, too.

Beautiful water shots!
ReplyDeleteOh the fun to be had with jumbo markers! That would be a great project for kids in a backyard at home.. to re-do and old picnic table... Great video!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous scenery! Australia would be on my short list just from what I've seen in your photos. Love your landscape there! The bird looks very similar to our herons...what is it?
ReplyDeleteLovely beach and the heron is beautiful ~
ReplyDeletethe waves are beautiful and powerful! love the table artist!
ReplyDeleteThat was nice and I was really impressed with the art on the picnic table, thinking it was done by some young graffiti artist and was surprised to see otherwise. Great post.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You've captured the action scenes so well.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots, Carole!!!
ReplyDeleteI am currently in the middle of composing a post on our visit to Burleigh Heads last week... looks like you and I had VERY similar beach trips!! :)
I really like that first shot Carole, brilliant, you caught a Heron nicely as well.
ReplyDelete..glad you all enjoyed this series from the other side of the world. Brian (heyBJK), the finale photo is a white-faced grey heron. I've since added that to the post now too.
ReplyDeleteI could sit and watch and listen to the waves for hours.
ReplyDeletePictures are great...of course...I especially like your story line with the pics. Wonderful Carole!!!
ReplyDeletePaper Hugs,
Jan
A lovely serie of photos!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice day!
Beautiful place for surfing. I love your bird image...great edit..
ReplyDeleteThe white faced heron is beautiful....but if you want my opinion, there is nothing better than time spent at the beach [I like the graffiti art on the picnic table too]
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that I added a linky to my newest bird photos today. If you'd care to stop by and leave a link. And perhaps if you know of anyone who loves birding--let them know of the new birding meme I set up for a weekly run---The Bird D'Pot. Stop by if you can. And have a glorious week.
I'd Rather B Birdin'
such a beautiful place to visit for a while. :)
ReplyDeleteNice pictures Carole but I like the drawing on the table also. Thinking Zentangle again. LOL. Like how you photoshopped the two pictures. Somebody mentioned a video...did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning place Carole... maybe one day?
ReplyDeleteDrew xx
Geke, the video is image before the colourful tabletop. It has a white click/arrow button on it. Have a look and listen to the ocean that day; it was a little treacherous.
ReplyDeleteAnni, glad you're hosting a birding linky; will check it out for sure.
this place is so alive!
ReplyDeleteThat is one really nice beach, and that bench it awesome, hats off to the artist
