Eastern Rosella - video

Yesterday afternoon and the rosellas are still munching on the spent crepe-myrtle seedheads, what are left of them.  It quite amazes me how long they will spend eating them, at least an hour at a time;  I don't know where they put it all.

Every color on the palette was used for creating this bird it seems. Do the boys and girls look the same?

John, the red on the male is more intense (deep-red) than the female

Incredibly colourful! Just about the only place they could successfully hide would be in a botanical garden...or maybe a quilt show.
