Eastern Rosella

 Only because I was using the car as a hide, was I able to get these photos of the Eastern Rosella feeding.  

He knew I was there but since it was only the camera lens hanging out of the window, it didn't seem to bother him.  They're usually very timid and will take flight in a rush,


so I was really pleased to be able to zoom in up close while it continued to feed.

    What a colorful bird. I read a long long time ago that for most animals, you stay in your car and they will usually stay put. Once you step out, the show is over. I've used this method ever since.
