Eastern Yellow Robin

How often I comment on others birding blogs, that I admire so much their yellow bird photographs. Being able to see for myself, the yellow robins while at Lamington National Park, Qld,  was a total joy.

Part of larger signage along one of the walking tracks.  I watched early one morning, while the brush turkeys were scratching away in the mulches, a robin would watch while clinging on from the lower part of a tree trunk. Then fly down when the scrub-turkey disturbed something worthwhile.

  8. They are beautiful shots Carole, and its nice to see the "background" shot of the sign also. You did really well with some of those shots and the dark undergrowth to be able to capture the Robin. I almost feel as though I was there with you as you explain - bird-watching through another bird-watchers eyes, thanks. Richard

  17. How striking this acid yellow breast on this little sweetie--so round and plump. And smart to let another bird do the work of foraging.

  23. Splendid little birds - this is another one I got some good images of in Lambington.

It was hard to tell how many fish the birds were catching - but it must have been a few.

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

  27. Robins are very resourceful. The Queensland version seems a much brighter yellow than in the Victorian alps. Lovely captures in that indeterminate light.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
