Lilium

From a gift package of bulbs sent to me in 2009, this one is named Leslie Woodriff.  It grows tall, and needs staking.  The flowers face downwards and have a wonderful, heady perfume.  These photos taken moments ago ....

Gorgeous, they look a bit like a Stargazer Lily, do they smell as pretty as they look?

  5. Wonderful looking lilies! Mind the pollen - I think it stains anything it touches!

  7. That's right - rub it in!! I am sitting here with snow up to my armpits, and a cloudy sky, and you are showing my your gorgeous lilies and a blue sky!!!
Ah, well... They are gorgeous lilies, and the clouds will go away, sooner or later...
    Happy New Year!!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
