Gilgandra Flora Reserve

Gilgandra Flora Reserve 6 km flowering Sept - Nov, coming up next.  The main industry in Gilgandra (about five hours from Sydney), is in agriculture, with various legume, cereal, and oil seed crops being farmed there. 

... we managed another thermos on the tables there, and a cuppa with fruit-cake break.  Seems we were always doing this, but there were the obligatory klms between each one.    Acacia/wattle in the foreground.

native plants nearer the pathways are dutifully tagged for ID by a team of dedicated volunteers

    Just caught up with your last posts. Looks like you are having a great trip. The thermos and cake stops sound a good idea especially as highways tend to by pass the villages and towns these days. We used to enjoy pulling for a coffee stop but they are harder to find these days. The flowers are beautiful. Not only in WA.
