Four bird types

A few random birding photographs taken last week while travelling inland.  My recent blog posts (label, Away from Home), have been covering this journey, and I wanted to save some bird snaps for Wild Bird Wednesday posts.

two's company, three's a crowd?

White-plumed Honey-eaters

The Kookaburra and Willie-Wagtail..
you come anywhere near my nest and I'll .....

...I'll get nasty!

I love those Honeyeaters - I've never seen them before. The Kookaburra and the Willy Wagtail are great. And I'm incredibly envious of your Black Shouldered Kite. I can never get close enough!

  15. Great set of pictures - really like the WW v Kookaburra shots!

Keep an eye on WBW for some shots that may seem a little familiar!

Dubai was hot - but it was really interesting. I've never been to anywhere in the Middle East before - so it was all new. But it was rather too hot!

  16. Wow, great birds and photos!
I fell in love with the last one, a white kite? Had to search the name on wikipedia, so I could translate it into swedish. We have a brown or red kite here in my land.
Have a nice weekend! Greetings Pia

  23. Awesome shots Carole! I love the action shot of the White-plumed Honeyeaters and of course the Kookaburra is magnificent! That is one of your birds I have seen and heard! Excellent snaps of the Kookaburra and Willie-Wagtail and the Black-shouldered Kite as well. I have yet to get a good photo of our White-tailed Kite here in the U.S.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
