Sunday, when it's too cold outdoors

You wouldn't appreciate photos from today, the skies are grey, the wind has been blowing hard throughout the whole weekend.  Yesterday was also a wet day.  It has definately been a day for the great indoors.

I tried a little zentangle-inspired art again; it's been some time since I've dabbled with it and hope to practice more often.
the original inspiration taken from this Dover image, Nature Stencil Designs

a different backdrop, a different colour hue

Also, a little graphics play making this globe.  I tried adding snow effects and while they looked good enough static, do you think I could make them get moving?!  So now snow.  Well I doubt these little birds would look so cheery if there had been...snow.

The base is an original from Mary-Lou, an 'object' created and shared long ago with the PhotoImpact group online.  The glass globe also from that group but I don't know who to credit it to now.

Graphics Fairy is my source for the French Postcard backdrop, also the sweet blue-birds I'd chosen from Karen's site also.

Now I'm thinking it's time for a coffee, but may be .... make up a little batch of fruity rock-cakes first. Wonder if they're a universal morning or afternoon-tea treat?

Later addition: Did she really go making the rock-cakes?  I did!   After taking the photo though I added a little butter, and having now with a mug of tea.

  4. What ever Zentangle is ... it is wonderful. I can't even imagine how you made the fish, but I love it. I love the birds in the globe as well. And, yes, thank you, I will have tea with you (except I am drinking coffee). What a fun visit ... Thanks

  5. I really like the first one. I picture you like my wife, hunched over a computer for hours working on a single photograph. But she enjoys it and that is all the matters. Me? I'd grow tired of it fast.

I stand in awe of your zentangles. At first I thought it was a crocheted lace creation.
The rock cakes look great. I wonder if we make them under a different name? I shall have to Google them.
    Hope you enjoyed your "cuppa"

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
