Eastern Rosella

These photos taken at home. Heard the chattering of rosellas landing on the guttering; had my camera nearby, and slid open a window. Moments later this female rosella flew across to the wintering crepe-myrtle tree to feed on the dried seed-pods. Just a lesser colour intensity than the male that'd visited for a mid May blog post this year.

  2. Nice photos of the Rosella. They are pretty birds. None close around my place but there are some just a little inland from here.

  14. Hi there - its a tomato sauce rosella! Nice pictures. I find these birds a little bit thin on the ground down here. I see them every so often, but I have only managed to get pictures once.

    Well done.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
