Yesterday's day-trip I ventured down to the city, Central Station, by train (two hours), then onto the City Circle train from there, to Circular Quay station.
Looking back to Circular Quay railway station and beyond once aboard the ferry, destination Manly, twenty minutes or so away.

Fort Denison, originally a convict settlement, later became a fort. It is open to the public, with restaurant and picnic areas.
When I visited the harbour for Australia Day, the guns were firing at midday.

Hi Carole, thank you so much for visiting my blog recently :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful cityscape photos here, all very atmospheric. Of course being a country girl at heart and lover of the natural world I most particularly enjoyed your more rural and wildlife posts especially seeing the birds which are so different from the ones we have here. The photos of the cockatoo were wonderful! It must be amazing to see those regularly. I loved the videos of the birds in your birdbath too.
Delightful composition! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSunrise, please come and see when you get a chance.
