A perfect day for walking and taking photos as I went. Well it really was a walk with a mission; to take photos. Families were having bbq's or picnic gatherings, some out on their kayaks, and others jaunting about in such a variety of water-craft.
What great shots Carole! What a cool kayak that is. I kayak alot and see that what I need is a sail. How fun that would be! Is that pine a "norfolk pine? Love the way the branches are. Have a wonderful day
Thanks for sharing your "walk" with us! I love all of the photos, especially the 4th one where you can see into the clear water beside the rocks..and the 3rd one with the tall, majestic trees...and the 8th one with the trees framing the sea and the red sailboat! What a beautiful place to live--vacation-land!
Carole, I love all the water and boat pictures! I'm curious about the green tree that looks like a pine tree. I've never seen one like that. Is it native to Australia?
thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
I wish I could join you!!

Perfect day out, Carole.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI should've identified that pine; it's a Norfolk Island Pine
It is an Australian Conifer and this site gives history of including mention of it growing in California and Florida, also Hawaii.
Beautiful calm photographs! Regards Senna
