Give a tree a hug

Give a tree a hug; it's o.k., because trees sometimes do that too.  Well so it might seem, when I see this one  out in the bush-corridor, it appears to me as though the ailing stricken tree, was hugging the robust one for half a chance.

Think it had gotten a touch of lightning-strike some years back, but it still does have green leaves at the ends of some upper-most branches.

  10. Hi there - interesting picture. The 'hugger' does not look well.

Of course the hug of some trees is not welcome - strangler figs hug their host tree to death after growing up it!

  21. It reminds me a bit of an anime I watched with my son some years ago, where the trees came to life and started walking out of the forest! Like this one just started walking over to the other and gave it a hug...as you say! (I think things turned out a little less happy in the movie,... but I digress, as I so often do...!)

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
