Friday's Flowers

According to this Gardening Australia fact sheet, the Pineapple Lily Eucomis, hails from East Africa, a region with summer rains.

This one, growing in my neighbour's garden, is seemingly at it's peak right now.  The photo was taken only this morning, and by the time I was leaving after a coffee/chat session, I needed to borrow an umbrella to walk back home.  Lucky I got the pics first!

Growing alongside, is this equally spectacular frangipanni.

  4. Great pictures of these wonderful flowers, Carole. The pineapple lily grows happily in our garden, but the frangipani we have been unable to coax into flower (yet!).
Thank you for participating in Floral Friday Fotos!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
