While a pair of Rosellas do frequent the Crepe Myrtles for feasting, I think this pair of Rainbow Lorikeets decided to follow suit and check-in for a sample, late one afternoon.
-- covered bridges are covered to keep folks out of the elements (weather) but my thought is - how do they keep them out of the weather once they leave the bridge? i wonder? but when i googled it that was what was said - which i already knew that part ... but when i started thinking - i had even more questions. guess i could research it even more.

Rainbows indeed. Just amazing colours on these birds Carole. I can just imagine you clicking away incessantly while that bird fed on the fruit. It just doesn't seem bothered by you being there.
Those birds would create a twitching frenzy in the UK.
Your shots are just stunning Carole. Looks as if you were right up in the tree with him. These birds are just amazing. I cannot imagine seeing these birds out and about in my yard.
