...while Mum had her back turned, little one (just pretending), took a running jump
That was a really dumb thing to do (says Mum, on the right)
I didn't mean to ... I just slipped
just wait till your father gets home
Little Wattlebird
made it to the bird-bath
not liking the imposters
Nice shots and video! The Wattlebird looks rather serious. Quite the curved beak, too!
ReplyDeleteI could have watched that video for much longer! Always interesting to see the interactions between different birds.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous photos of the different birds. Great, that you are back with photos.
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
Cool birds, I would love to see and hear them in person some day. Great shots, Carole!
ReplyDeleteTrès jolies photos ! j 'aime cette prise de vue!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day !
i love the video. so cool. funny how microphones work & what they pick up??! ( :
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Carole! I loved the video and your text additions to it, very creative! Interesting to see how the Miners defer to the Wattlebird, which is a subtly beautiful bird if you ask me - it's markings look like careful paintstrokes by a talented artist.
ReplyDeleteVery cute birds and ones I haven't seen before. Great photos and great video. Thanks Carole :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Carole!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds, which do not occur in the Netherlands.
The video is great, and your text in the video is very nice.
Are the problems with blogger solved now?
handsome birds enjoying a dip (and squawkers, too). :)
ReplyDeleteNice shots, Carole, and I loved your commentary!
ReplyDeleteThat was a neat video, just the sounds alone. To someone who lives in the States the bird sounds are so exotic and tropical.
ReplyDeleteThe video was fun to watch! Thanks!
ReplyDeletewhat a nice, somewhat surprising reaction to the video. Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteJohn/Stargoose; I actually had removed a lot of content and stitched parts together to save it becoming too boring!
Christian: I agree that when you see the Little Wattlebird up close like that, those markings are quite defined and striking.
Irma: Yes I'd say that Blogger Engineering made sure that their fixed worked first with Google browser, Chrome. When I added Chrome .. all was good again.
Gosh those Miner birds are comical looking!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant video, the different birds, they are so beautiful, love them.
ReplyDeleteVery fun. I like your dialogue between these birds!
ReplyDeleteFabulous fun captures Carole.
ReplyDeleteChuckled about "Wait till your father comes home!"
ReplyDeleteReally nice post - loved the pictures and the video at the end - and my favorite part was:
ReplyDelete"just wait till your father gets home"
Those first two shots really made me laugh! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat still photos AND video, Carole!!! I loved them all! Very cool how you added text to the video!
ReplyDeletehugs,
