Pilliga Daisy Brachyscome formosa
Looking for the name of this, anyone?
the walking path to White Gum Lookout
a sprinkling of Bluebells in the foreground
looking like native Ajuga Australis, commonly known as Austral bugle
Yes it does look a little sweet-pea like, without the tendrils, and on long slender stems. It's an Australian native, known as the Darling Pea
I could've spent some serious time perhaps with tripod and closeups here. The sun merging over the new red growth was something special.
Beautiful pictures of this area, Carole.
ReplyDeleteThe name on the second picture, unfortunately I do not.
Greetings Irma
I didn't realise there were so many different wild flowers in eastern Australia too. So sad to see the burnt trees but they say some plants need the fire to regenerate.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see more of the wild flowers emerging after the fire.
ReplyDeletelove all the color that is coming back!
ReplyDeleteThe wildflowers are beautiful. Sometimes the fire will help to regenerate the area. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely place and nice colored flowers..... good photo's again Carole.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
gorgeous blooms. ( :
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of this area, Carole. I really like the first and last photos a lot.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, if Fall is approaching here that means Spring down there. "sigh"
ReplyDeleteA terrific three part series! Looks like the flora is recovering well from the fires. That Chough has eerily beautifl red eyes!
ReplyDeleteMore amazing images of life regenerating.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to more information on the pretty Darling Pea. Interesting that this endangered plant is toxic to livestock.
I again appreciate the chance to see some of your landscape.
Lovely photos of the flowers coming back!
ReplyDeleteWhite Gum Lookout and Darling Pea, I just love some of your exotic names for places, plants and animals Carole. I guess because Austarlia has so many of each it must be difficult to come up with new ones, unless there's some sort of naming competition down there?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the foliage and those trees!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful collection of photos. I really like that first shot of the Pilliga Daisy!
