Maybe not what you'd expect at 'the beach'. Australian native, Flannel flower; and it was a matter of hoping the photo would turn out as the small spray of flowers would shift back and forth in the winds, and in and out of the shadows at the same time. This was growing up on the headlands beside the walking path to the lighthouse.
Down these steps and onto the sand now
looking back up at the lighthouse dated 1903
the tops of the Banksias (Australian native) are blowing in the wind
I love the colours and textures in the rocks
and the patterns in the water
...interesting little dried salt pans. If I'd been the true photographer I might've gotten down on the wet rocks and photographed this from a differing angle to try and pick up the way they sparkled
