a place in the country ...

at Tottenham, N.S.W.

 looking like Hoary-headed Grebe

Pacific Black Ducks?

and over in those bare trees, middle of photo ...

this Yellow-billed Spoonbill

while this one looks to be the Royal Spoonbill perhaps, with seemingly a darker bill

Black Swan

lots of white Paper Daisy growing here

  1. I still can't get used to Tottenham being a rural spot rather than the urban jungle that Tottenham, London is. All those birds have cousins in the UK - grebes, spoonbills, swans - that I'm familiar with. Nice to see the variations down under.

  10. Well you have showed me more wonderful country that I would love to explore. I like the flat wide open as far as the eye can see places.

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
