Rainforest Walk #2

Strangler Fig weaving its spell around another rainforest tree

then when the falls came into view from the lookout

the sky looked so pretty out there

continuing the walk beside this little trickle of water down the slope

At this point our group hopped into the 20-seater 4-WD bus for the ride back

in time to catch the end of day back at O'Reilly's Retreat, Lamington N.P., Qld.

  4. thanks for comments here already ... and to Diane, close to your home not mine. Just turned into a photography tour for me; I'd naturally hoped for more of birds especially but I think the cooler weather had them laying low in the valleys. It really was a fabulous place to visit and it would be a top place to revisit during their annual 'bird week' in spring

  5. What a lovely place to go on a tour. That strangler fig is not something I would want growning around my tree as it looks like it would be the end of the bigger tree. Never saw one of those before. Fascinating. The falls looks gorgeous too! Glad you had a fun tour!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
