I admire your patience to photograph birds. They are all stunning. Love your header too.
ReplyDeleteHi Carole as yuo know I am not an Aussie but live in Northern Ireland but I wondered the bird that you didn't know, cold it be a Grey Shrike-thrush? Just a thought. I would need to see the head and bill better. Lovely set of birds. Margaret
ReplyDeleteHi Carole,
ReplyDeleteWonderful array of different birds.
All very well photographed.
Your header is really beautiful.
Kind regards, Irma
Wow, your header is awesome! Wonderful collection of birds. I love the Honeyeater and the Parrots. Great shots!
ReplyDeletetks all for your lovely comments, and to Margaret, suggesting the ID of unknown is maybe a Grey Shrike-thrush. Thanks Margaret, as you say it would be easier to be sure with a frontal/head shot also. Your prediction though is quite apt.

lots of birds I´ve never seen. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethanks again all the lovely comments; I love to read them; my connection out there in Blogland. Tks also to Phil with a second to Margaret's affirmation to naming of unidentified bird. I'm about to go add that title. Sparkle100: Apart from the mainframe wall-hangings, there's not a photograph of mine on display. Here is where I do that... with gay abandon. Appreciate all your cuedos, those of you who visit often, and write a little comment to say you've visited too-it's a buzz.
ReplyDeleteAh! That little red robin cheers my heart no end.
ReplyDeleteWOW...that's a lot of birds to photograph Carole...you are one busy lady!
ReplyDeletePaper Hugs,
Jan
What a neat set of bird photos- some I haven't seen before.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shots, Carole. My favorite of them all is the Red-Capped Robin!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how long ago you changed your header, but looks like it might be very recent! I love it as well as your new blog name! Very fitting!
Hi Sharyl, the name change happened on this blog post http://dragonfly47.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/white-faced-heron.html back in April this year. When I put that new header up I showed one with the herons on, but later changed it to this particular one with the blue-wrens, then it changed to the red-capped robin, and now back to the Superb Fairy Wrens again.
