Another of the beautiful rainforest walks at O'Reilly's Retreat, Lamington N.P., Qld.
tree ferns and other lush foliages in the gullies
a magical wonderland awaits with huge fallen trees covered in emerald mosses
and fungi-flowers decorate fallen limbs
little treasures everywhere; it's enchanting in here
this Strangler Fig has enveloped its host over many years; well and truly
it would've started its life at the top of the original tree
you can walk straight through The Wishing Tree
and come out any side you choose
and be so totally amazed that it's still standing like this
that you ...
forget to make a wish!!
Hi Carole,
ReplyDeleteit seemed a great experience to walk. in the rainforest Sometimes it's dark and sometimes light, but again you still see other beautiful natural phenomena like the little mushrooms on the tree branches.
Those are awesome trees.
ReplyDeleteYou make it look so enchanting. I must do that walk next time I'm up there. Not easy to photograph in the darkness of a rainforest. Well done.
