  1. Love the colourful legs and beak of your dusky moorhen. Nest building in autumn? We have a Lotus pond at the Adelaide Bot.Gardens as well. Aren't they splendid plants? I adore our Australian Wood ducks.

  5. The moorhen certainly stands out in his black dress with bright orange accents. Handsome bird.
I enjoyed your bird shots but just as much I enjoyed your images of the lotus.

  12. Great crisp clear shots. What kind of camera and lens are you using. I know I have asked this before but I've forgotten......that happens a lot lately. The Moorhen looks very proud of its big nest.

  16. The moorhens are always such busy birds - even if they are common, they are always worth watching.

And who does not like ducks!

thanks for visiting Snap Happy Birding, and for leaving a comment; I can still see them. Now both my blogs are resting in idle mode. It was time to give other things priority, even though I miss my regular blogging and the feedback that came my way over the years. Take care.
