This is really beautiful, Carole! I always find it so interesting to watch hydrangeas as they age. I think they are just as beautiful as when they are in their prime. Hope you've had a great weekend!
I do wish my hydrangeas would flower like this. I suppose the poor soil where I have the two plants just prevents them from forming these wonderful full heads of blossoms. This is a wonderful macro, Carole!
I fell in love with hydrangeas last summer (when we were in Oregon)...noticed for the first time how beautiful they are in all their stages...before they fully flower, during the height of their glory, and as they faded in the Fall, still beautiful. I will have to ask our daughter if she's tried drying them...this picture is just stunning.

Beautiful hydrangea, Carole! One of my favorite flowers. I have three bushes, but they don't get the nice purple color on the green.
